Tomorrow the four-day event starts with the mens junior ITT and the womens U23 ITT. Here's the course map.

And don't ask for profiles...

Entry lists for both events are available, the final start lists are yet to come:

I have no idea about the U23 women, but the junior ITT will be a Danish festival. Pedersen, Andersen, Würtz Schmidt and other Danes have dominated the junior ITT's this year. They can even leave a guy like Niklas Eg at home.

The EC website has information on all other events, too.

Standings after two blocks:

1. Amund Jansen (Norway) 30:33:84
2. Szymon Rekita (Poland) 30:40:31
3. Giacomo Peroni (30:51)
4. Mads Würtz Schmidt (Denmark) 31:00:47

The first three are all decent ITT riders, Jansen was second at the national ITT champs, Rekita won the champs in Poland and Peroni got 3rd in Italy. But normally Würtz Schmidt - the current junior ITT world champion! - should beat them clearly. Guess something happened like a crash, a flat or nasty winds for him.

The race might take a while: "Over een halfjaar start de laatste renner." (Translated: "The last rider will start in half a year.") :D

The last group of riders is on the road.

Current leader is another Dane:

1. Matthias Krigbaum (Denmark) 30:15
2. Ryan Mullen (IRL) 30:25
3. Matei Mohoric (SLO) 30:26
4. Amund Jansen (NOR) 30:33

But their best and surely favorite No. 1 is yet to come - Mads Pedersen.

Now I'm really confused. The race seems to be over, so no Pedersen at all in here. Anyway, Gold for Denmark, Krigbaum wins this championship.

Mads würtz schmidt crashed in a german race one week ago, cant remember the name of the race, and therefore he hasnt been able to train well since that :)

Final startlists for today's events are there:

ITT Junior Women
ITT U23 Men

There's a bunch of favorites for the U23 race, but I'd like to highlight Rasmus Quaade, Jasper Hamelink, Bob Jungels, Anton Vorobyev, Yoann Paillot and Massimo Coledan. Looks like a great race. :)

Well, imho she should've raced the Olympic TT instead of Vos.
She's had some promising results this season and could've used it for experience.

Not to forget to mention he had an injury prior to the race, and couldn´t train optimal, but yes, danish track, youth RR and TT rocks atm.
It´s very impressive work they do, good trainers, good guidance and they have the right attitude, if only half of them makes it through to the pro tour level, we gonna see some awesome danish riders.

Good result for Jungels as well. Have to say he's my favorite from Lux. If he turns out to be like Frandy, I will be most upset.

A bit opportunistic, as usual. Vos herself has won a couple of TTs as well (beating Longo Borghini comfortably).

Seems like Jan Tratnik won the U23 race. He was one of the most active riders today, so no surprise there. Waiting for a confirmation...

1. Jan Tratnik SLO
2. Andzs Flaksis LAT
3. Wouter Wippert NED

Tratnik and Flaksis rode away from the field on the last lap. Another proof that flat championship courses don't necessarily end up in a mass sprint.
