So far: No Qatar, Oman on almost 24 hr delay, Langkawi internet stream quality, poor Algarve coverage, ruined E3 for me today (showed 100km to 60km then cut to 27km with poor sound quality and a cursory apology).
I was ready to commend them on extended coverage of a cobbled classic (Sky showed DDV and have GW, former had ~20 minutes of race coverage, so disjointed as to render it pointless), but alas ES curse strikes again.
Most of the races you mention so far are not ES' fault. Langkawi and Algarve they had to make do with host broadcaster coverage. Qatar and Oman are nothing more than pre-season friendlies, and while ES have a commitment to cycling, it's also foolhardy to expect them to pre-empt coverage of important world cup wintersports events for that. ES fill a lot of their schedule with Alpine, XC, Nordic Combined, biathlon and ski jumping over the winter, and in February it's kind of peak season for them, whereas the bike races are of little real importance. I've seen people complaining that a race like Qatar wasn't shown
because they preferred to show the biathlon World Championships and the Nordic World Championships instead. Could you imagine the reaction if Eurosport decided not to show the Road World Championships in order to show the Püttlingen City-Biathlon on rollerskis or something? But now, biathlon season is over, and the cross-country ends this weekend. Alpine is pretty much done with now.
Once this is done, you'll see a major improvement in ES' coverage of cycling, because it opens up a large amount of space in the scheduling. A large amount of space that it needs to fill in the winter, with no WTCC, no MotoGP and no cycling, which are major schedule fillers for Eurosport.
