Phil: And so, poor La Floricita has turned the first pedal in Denial.
Paul: Right you are Phil, as Mark Twain said, Denial aint just a river in Egypt.
Phil: Indeed.
Paul: In fact, the Egyptian civilization has depended on the river since ancient times. Most of the population and cities of Egypt lie along those parts of the Nile valley north of Aswan, and nearly all the cultural and historical sites of Ancient Egypt are found along riverbanks. The Nile ends in a large delta that empties into the Medit…
Phil: Er, moving on Paul, would you just look at the faces of Python and Dr. Maserati battling it out again and again, Python just unable to shake the persistent Dr. Mas who just when you think he wont come back he pops back up again and again in a display of sheer determination to match wits with the mighty Python
Paul: Seconded, Phil. Dr. Maserati is nearly impossible to drop…you would have better luck trying to get a red wine spill out of a duck down duvet…
Phil: The wily Sniper launched a brave attack of posts, knowing full well of the ire of the Contador apologists would come crashing down upon him like bamboo scaffolding in a monsoon…
Paul: Agreed, Phil, he really brought out the suitcase of courage. Now the bunch is getting riled, you can see the pain etched on their faces, it is certainly getting nasty in there…
Phil: Oh Dear, I believe the commisares have removed two posters and another has just been relegated….
Paul: Publicus has been trying to maintain some order in the bunch but it is clear but it is clear whom he supports….had calmer heads not prevailed, the peloton would have blown up and there would have been posters strewn about the Col…
Phil: Right you are Phil. Benotti69 and hrotha trying to stretch the elastic and inflict as much pain as possible…Are they on the road to stardom, or are they lambs to the slaughter?
Paul: It seems to have put the bunch in a spot of bother….The Hitch is wearing a mask of pain
Phil: And will you just look at this Paul! Out of the pack comes Merckx Index…just dancing on those pedals and now we can say the heads of state have come to the fore….

Either you have been reading this site for a long time (to know poster's posting styles and opinions) or a multi (sock puppet), either way that was brilliant.

Contador threads must be the equivalent of Giros. Lance threads are like the TdF- they are much more entertaining and prestigious.

Im amazed they got all the names right. Would expect them to mix up Florecita for sniper, publicus for airstream, Dr maserati for me and refer to python as cobra.

Haha, thats a good point - no way would they get the names right.
Well played 'Sandy Chamois'...

Great post man!

And... Great nickname... sAndy Chamois Cream!!

I hope you make great posts here.. you will be very observed now!

Phil would definitely have referred to them as Velonews posters in the spirit of one of my personal favorite Liggetisms where he forgets the name of the race he is commentating for.
