Teams & Riders Everybody needs a little bit of Roglstomp in their lives

He would probably be 4th or 5th in GC if he would care about it but he rather went in kamikaze attack for stage win. With proper preparation (no Giro and no injuries and sickness) he would be 3rd. Washed? Absolutely not.

He won't retire an leave 5M on the table. So next year he can go all in for Tour or rather Giro/Vuelta. I think Tour is such an event you can't say no to. So Lipo for GC and Roglič for stages.
Idk what Rog is thinking in terms of hi future, but he is 10x the rider Lipo is and he should never be riding a bike with the intention of stage wins. All that matters for great champions is GC.

I'm happy he finally got to the finish. The start looked bad because he was clearly not in the best shape, but as the Tour progressed I learned to enjoy the situation as it is, just like Rogla himself.

Maybe this was a farewell to the Tour, maybe not, very fitting that we don't know. However, based on the Tour he is still TOP3 GC rider when in form. Maybe even second best. Roglic in absolute peak form is mythical creature who hasn't really been seen for many years because of all the setbacks.
Again next year? For sure, why not, eh?

That was almost 3 years ago. I think he's done with TdF when he crosses the finish line today and he's content and happy with that. He finally got used to the new team and vice versa, I don't think he wants to change teams again at 36.
I hope he doesn't think like this because I want to see him fight again for a big win next year and I don't know if red Bull is an enviroment he will have the chance to do this. There will be probably at every GT an 1B Option the team keeps around after this year and he won't get a dedicated team to his goals.

RedBull has a lot of money but I'm also not sure if they want to keep him on the books. Let's be honest the Tour wasn't bad especially after the bad luck this year but all in all it probably doesn't give the team confidence that they can include him in next years plan. But remco is of course also the same thing when it comes to shared leadership. I think it is best for Rogla to change teams, if he will do it we will see.

Respect to Primoz Roglic, three strong weeks, team tactics somewhat got in the way, Florian was incredible and Primoz did work for him, his one shot was that Kamikaze attack, and it was a thing of beauty for me. Do or die. Pinot style. Give it all. No regrets.

The thread has not come up yet, maybe it won't, the forum is getting a bit lazy these days (I once was a mod, don't argue), so I give this Tour the same score as Primoz' GC placing: 8.

Pogacar is in the Merckx, Hinault universe. Jonas is The New Thevenet, he will never get the credit that he deserves. Like Wout. I'm so happy with the ending...big win...

Who are you people to chase Roglic out of RBH? Leave him the f*** alone. @Filippo_3467? Bora didn't bring Primoz for the sole purpose of winning TDF, they brought him in to be a mentor to their young and to create the winning culture in the team. That's why they paid him millions.

And he did bring them a first GT win last year.

A solid TDF, he was not in the best form he could be, but still a TOP 5 GC guy.

I was trying to make a point here in a discussion forum and you just blindly screaming without any reasinable argument. Primoz was brought in to win the Tour and GTs overall Denk said so. Posts like this is why people can't take the Roglic-Ultras (who doesn't wnat the best for him if he should stay at Red Bull) seriously. Of course he could stay in the end it's a question what does the rider want and is the team open to a move. I think Roglic himself should think about leaving I don't think the team will force him out. The will try to make it work with giving Roglic leadership at a handful races without Lipowitz or Remco there. The question is if that's enough for a rider that is still Top 10 maybe 5 imo with proper preparation and not crashing. He probably wants to pick his races and that is getting more difficult at Red Bull. In a smiliar situation he already changed teams from Jumbo to Bora. Maybe the situation is different may be not. No reason to drop the f-bomb.

I think he looks at winning a 5th Vuelta next year, especially with Remco coming across.
seems like a good option for him. Either by doing giro-Vuelta or simply by goint to Spain extremely fresh.

Remco for sure is doing TOur, you don't bring Remco in to put him on the B-team.
Lipo could do Giro and/or Vuelta i suppose, but coming off a third+white at the Tour it would be more logical to go for the Tour again.

Top 10, don't make me laugh. :tearsofjoy: Without antibiotics 2 weeks before TdF he would be on the podium, easily.

With Roglic, Remco and Lipo in the team, it will definitely be a challenge to keep everyone happy. Especially as Jai and Vlasov also had ambitions, at least this year. Jai will probably try the Vuelta and has already won the Giro. Martinez is also there and was 2nd in the Giro.

The team only works if you speak to each other clearly and also everyone get fully involved as a helper when necessary and required.

There are riders who can do both perfectly. There are riders who can't. Roglic still has to show whether he can find his role where he is no longer the sole leader and will also have races where it is clear beforehand that he has to be a helper.

In a team like UAE it's easier because many have their freedom but it's clear if Tadey is coming to race everyone is a helper - and if you like to be a helper well you know the chance of winning is huge. It is more complicate to say "ok i am a helper... but perhaps i am strong as the other guy..."
