Darn, was hoping he'd battle it out again with Dumoulin.
This is big news. A medal is up for grabs now. I was really looking forward to see the battle between him, Dennis and Dumoulin. But if he has problems with his elbow and if he thinks he has little to no chance at a gold medal, I trust him and think it's the right thing to do. He has got silver already, so he should put all his efforts in trying to win a medal in the Road Race. It's maybe once in a lifetime opportunity. Who knows when will the WC course be this hard again. I expect him to be ready.

More beard than usual at the Tour of Britain :)
Also a strong performance to finish in the lead group.

So apparently Roglic' poor time trial in the Tour gave cause to investigation.

Turned out he still had a rock in his elbow from a crash before the Tour.

That's crazy that they can miss something like this with all the modern imaging.

Wow! Reminiscent of one Alberto Contador's knee in 2014. Hopefully Primoz has a Contador 2014 Vuelta type ride on Sunday! Go Primoz :).

I am a believer :)

Slovenia is riding like a big team taking responsibilities in the chase of the early brake. They've been very confident lately and the whole team is 100% committed to Roglic. In the pre-race interviews one could clearly see they believe in him and think he can end up with the rainbow jersey. Rainbow is the goal!

That was more due to bad luck than anything else. Last year he won stages in both Algarve and Tirreno after being taken out of GC due to sheer bad luck earlier if I'm not mistaken.

Yeah he was strong in the early season as well last year, although last year he skipped the Giro to focus on the Tour, this year he's riding the Giro and the Tour, but apparently in the tour he's supposedly be helping Kruijswik. I guess we'll have to see. Perhaps he should've gone with the Tour only option this year as well, but that would mean Kruijswik probably going to the Giro. Not sure what race Bennet is doing this year though.

Anyway great ride today, just edged at the line by the old fox, no shame in that. I just love his riding style, he looks so good on the bike.

He didn't do Algarve last year but Valenciana where he was 6th overall and without a stage win. He was strong but not the strongest in the race. Today he looked the strongest IMO. In Tirreno you are right, he lost GC ambitions because of a crash in a flat stage.

I think he is even better than last year and will be hard to beat in stage races. I can't wait for the Giro. It's going to be helluva fun.
