Awful way to race. He is just following wheels...
They broke the climb record by 30 sec, I doubt any of them could go any faster really.

After this kind of day and Quintana's attacks you may be only to hold on. Cracking on 20% can cost alot of time and it's a long race. He's racing like the #1 contender without enough team depth, so it's logical.Awful way to race. He is just following wheels...

Indeed, but it's not just that. This Vuelta suits him buch better also. No real high mountain stages apart from the one in Andorra, which is still a joke compared to the toughest Giro stages.Great showing from Primoz today. He is clearly stronger on the climbs than he was in the Giro. He is also more serene in the interviews and looks overall more relaxed. Good signs.

Could he catch Nairo in time trial ?
OopsNo, because he will be starting before Quintana. He can catch Lopez though
Wow. That makes his performance today even more impressive.Got hit by a motorbike, could have been at least with Quintana, or even Pogačar if it wasn't for that... oh well. As long as he is okay. And he is still in prime position.
Without falls MAL likely wins.I'd say without fall today he'd be at least 2nd.
Considering this it was an amazing display of mental an physical strength from Primož. Also I think he was tactically perfect. Great job.
So a stopped cycle in the road causes it...yikes what lousy luck . His ride looks Even Better after seeing that. Great recovery and catch back. Hopefully he doesn't pay a price in injury and soreness.
