Teams & Riders Everybody needs a little bit of Roglstomp in their lives

Roglic as a defensive rider? Come on now. Jumbo might have defensive Skyesque team tactics but Roglic (and Van Aert) seemed like the outliers in the team. They seemed like offensive, attacking riders, not the marginal gains guys. For my money, Jonas Vingegaard is the ideal Jumbo rider. Quiet, follows team orders, rides according to data instead of emotion and super calculated. It's probably why he's gone from unremarkable junior to the best GT rider in the world under their program.

That's not Roglic. Roglic is excitement, attacks and emotion. The one thing Jumbo and Roglic seemed like they ever had in common was a love of winning.

Which is to say- Roglic is many things, a boring rider isn't one of them.

@pman

Likely Rogla got a substantial international fan base before most Slovenians even picked him up. That is among cycling fans. Rest assured that Rogla is an international cycling superstar. We here in this thread, we sometimes have troubles admitting that. Not being as grand as Rogla, but trying. In the end nobody is perfect.

I remember watching him for the first time in the Tour that Froome won without winning a stage (the one with the Marseille time trial. I think Roglic even won that stage. I've liked him for a while. On the other hand, he is my wife's favorite rider. I think we've watched Stage 20 of the Giro 3 times at this point. So I get the world wide fanbase that Roglic has. He's a super charismatic rider.

Guys around Primož are looking as to be in disbelief too. Hopefully some gold color will make the helmet just perfect. Head sock, though, looks like Primož is hurting. Will just need to get used to it, or maybe one size bigger. It's not like this is the prom king competition. If the gear will be fast, then good!

Are you really talking about roglic from cycling, or other roglic from another sport?

Jumbo is a offensive team, dominant like sky, but the opposite oh sky in terms of tatics. They blown up the race, sky rode in a more defensive way.

Let's all go visit Roglič's PCS profile and try to get him to no. 1 for Christmas. That'll show the trolls, elves and gnomes who's the most popular guy around!

My attempt has been unsuccessful so far. Even Almeida has more views today.

I'm not sure we'll be able to make it happen, unless it's suddenly revealed that Roglič has either been the mastermind behind the alleged Uijtdebroeks bullying, that he has an evil twin named Secondoz, or that he's actually Remco's real father.

Pogacar attempting the double must have been good news for Roglic.

Is it? I mean strong Pogi at the Tour can obviously prove to be a challenge. Still, considering Jonas and Remco being there too. In my opinion it suits Rogla. For all mentioned cyclists to be in good form and in contention to win. Much more opportunities involved, if needed, and much easier to misfire, by one of the main rivals. Considering all three main rivals are obsessed with attacking early.
