Re: Re:

Except that he does not say that he has gained..Slongo says that Aru has gained.. :p

I know it's slightly bent misinformation with purpose. Who rules information rules everything. There's no better way to make your enemies to overreach than leak information like this. It's not even first case.

Yikes, nothing like a PRO cyclist to make you feel fat. I need to head to the shopping mall and stroll the food court to make myself feel better; I'm PRO tour skinny compared to most Americans:)

ie get out ahead of the TT ability turn around and "explain" it. preempt the WTF looks and thoughts.

stupid posting time limits. stupid. stupid. stupid. stupid. stupid.
My favourite is still Brailsfraud foretelling that clean riders will some day beat doped performances of the past and the next day his rider did an Armstrong up Ax3. Just hilarious.

We can expect big things from Aru

His coach was possibly just talking $h!t as a psychologial ploy. Just because someone throws some numbers out, doesn't mean its true.
ASTANA got tartet-tested last year. If you throw out such numbers, in an ideal world with independent antidoping it would provoke more target-testing.
They somehow don't seem worried about that. ASTANA started to pay the bills again?

Re: Re:

The key figure though surely is comparing it to Aru's own performance last year. He says in the article that he has gained 5-10 watts. So that suggests his power at 'threshold' last year was 390 watts (or about 6.35 w/kg). There was no way he was close to that during the longer Grand Tour climbs. So either he loses a considerable amount of power during a Grand Tour said:

Official statement - due to stomach virus @FabioAru1 will not start @girodeltrentino

they stuffed him like a turkey, now he is farting out lol

seriously, Astana needs to be kicked out asap, Aru and Nibali are nice people but Astana is evil incarnation, they must save themselves fast.

They're still fine tuning the dosage. Come the Giro, I think we're going to see a very good Aru who will shock everyone with an elite time trial.

Antibiotics to crush a viral infection. Are viral and bacterial easily mistranslated / confused in Spanish?

Aru told Gazzetta that he has been prescribed “a cycle of antibiotics to crush the virus” – although it should be noted that antibiotics are used to treat bacterial rather than viral infections. In any case, Aru said that he did not know the origin of his infection.

Something like 90% of all people don't know antibiotics only work against bacterial infections. Sports stars are even less eduacted than the median, so not really surprising.

I read the same thing. Perhaps something was lost in translation. I don't know if the last line is an editorial comment from cyclingnews or Gazzetta but it almost appears like it's a wink-wink, nudge, nudge kind of call out.

My thoughts exactly.
