well, Henderson is known for crazy stuff like this, it might be possible that he only heard the rumors (like all of us) and went apeshit

I am so sick of it. It becomes common knowledge within days. Why try cheat.

gives impression that he knows something extra

will see

sad to see Aru caught and Nibali eating pizza tranquilo and posing as 6th person to have won all 3 GT's

Lol at Henderson, that takes some balls.

(Not because omertà or anything of the sort, but because he could end up looking like an idiot if this blows over)

I guess the UCI will open a bio passport case against Aru soon. If that doesn't get rid of them I guess the last resort is to have Nibali test positive.

he probably already tested positive at TdF 2014

remember, french fed didn't paid prizes yet citing "waiting for dope test results"

wtf do they wait

i guess the situation is an embarasment of epic proportions, ASO don't want to positive winner, etc

and only because Astana is a doping team run by idiots, how the *** can you have 5 EPO positives in 1 year unless your doctors are retards?

Must have been renegade riders who doped in secret, without the knowledge of whoever treats saddle sores at Astana.

I can't say this comes as a surprise in the least. Insane breakthrough year + Astana = highly probable doper.

The big question is why are Astana so incompetent when it comes to testing positive. Surely they have enough experience on the team to avoid half the riders getting pulled up.

One thing that is clear is that, if there ever was a period between, say, 2007 and 2012 where there was a general agreement among riders to dope less, we are back in the wild west today. I think the problem is that there's no true antidoping culture in the sport. At best there's an attitude of "we won't dope if you don't dope", a culture among riders and DS's that it's OK to cheat a little if others cheat a little*. In such a system any ceasefire on the doping front is an unstable equilibrium - all it takes to send the sport back into chaos is one rider or one team pushing the limits of what's deemed acceptable and getting away with it.

*This is probably the general attitude among top athletes in all sports though, to be fair. Or among human beings in any competitive environment.
