Oh my, season really got rolling now! Was sure Drôme was next weekend :confused:Something to catch up on of missed races past week after first little ride myself on the thins this season, now in front of the 4K, just with minor interrupts from junior and wife about kitchen/house plans, just missing the pause button for them.

Drôme region is something special to me, being my first ever stay in France on my way further south, so ain't gonna miss it.

Tronchon heading for his fourth top ten in as many races. His only other one since turning pro was two years ago at Burgos. Those Van Rysels are something else?

To clarify, am not suggesting mechanical doping etc

They also just invested a lot in their performance stuff (finally), they are finally doiung altitdude camp with most riders for example. I'm already assuming they are just in really good form early, they needed points quickly so it was probably calculated.

But yes, the bike is probably also better than what they had previously

It's a bit sad that these races are at the same time as Flemish opening weekend. They are good races with a great field, but no one watches.

On the other hand, they probably have a great field cause of this date. They should probably have their finishes later or earlier, I know it's not ideal, but they literally fnish almost in the same timeframe as Omloop and Kuurne.

Thank you. And of course in his case, it could just be a rider spending his first year mostly learning, before beginning to fulfil his potential.

Back now with the others, anyway in the report from yesterday he talked about how he had expected to be behind wrt anaerobic efforts at these first races.

They mentioned in the commentary that he's just come off altitude camp, and it's only his second race day of the season. Probably just lacking that top-end to compete when the pressure is applied at the moment.
