If you had a big ski resort with a 10 km, 6 % climb starting in La Grave frequently paying for a stage finish, I would think Galibier north would usually have caused much more carnage.

They went as crazy as anyone could ever hope they would on the Galibier in 2022, and the gaps by the top weren't that big.

Bump after the Giro. I've already made my input a few years back but maybe some newer users want to comment on this matter. Not that I'm expecting the leading climb to change :p

Seeing this list again I'm surprised at the selection of climbs, in particular the inclusions of Giau and Ancares. I like both though.
The only way for me to make my top 5 most favorite climb is to make the complete list of least favorite ones and just give you the lowest ranking ones.
Good to see I was a ray of sunshine 4 years ago

We could go back to compiling to picking climbs we rarely or never see and may not see for the forseeable future. I wanna take tihs thread and hype Giau - in particular the combination of Valparola after, because it's a combination that gets everything right without resorting to a climb that is so hard it becomes mythical by sheer difficulty alone.

That and La Maialetta, which I really wanna see used as a pass on the way to a 2014 Tirreno style Guardiagrele finish.
