Saddles vs 'bumms' are unique. Find a bike shop that will let you 'buy and try' and return or swap if it isn't right.

I was in the market for a new saddle myself. Picked up the Selle Italia SLR Gel Flow and am loving it; got it during a bike fit. If you haven't had a fit yet, I highly recommend it. The shop doing the fit will be able to point you in the right direction for saddles and any other new components you might want.

Also try the San Marco Regal, its a little heavy, but riders like Robbie McEwen, Tom Boonen, and Stijn Devolder still prefer it over anything else because of its comfort.

Depends on your specific anatomy, but the Arione works well for me. I had a Selle Italia Trans Am SLR which came on my Giant TCR alloy from way back. It was uncomfortable but I made myself get used to it because I thought all bike seats were painful.

Got the Arione with my Cervelo (upgraded from the stock saddle) and the difference was night and day. Clearly it works for me, but you have to try it for yourself.

I was riding the Selle San Marco Regal for comfort, then tried the Fizik Aliante Braided Carbon and I love it. Very comfortable! Did 75 miles the other day and had no comfort issues at all--I weigh 185.
