I'll go with Mic Rogers. He's hungry for a real win and according to the articles, been in the crit scene to rebuild. That will make him a lot punchier than we've seen him before. Certainly capable of taking off without getting caught.

If Van Hummel doesn't lose minutes on Willunga I'll eat my computer.

Well that's one thing I'll find interesting to see.
Van Hummel said during the Vacansoleil team presentation that ofcourse he wanted to go to the TdF again, but he also said that he wouldn't go if his climbing was the same as 2 years ago.

He also said that when he was at the TdF his weight was 79kg and right now his weight is 71kg. That's a huge difference and will certainly help him when the road goes up.

Besides that I don't think van Hummel is an topnotch sprinter. He will be good for wins in the smaller races.

I dont think mic rogers will win, i think an european will win it.

Gerrans has a chance. Goss and Matthews have a chance.

Allthough I'll give EBH a bigger chance if he actually tries to win it.

I think gerrans has the form and the most motivated team. Gossy is not in contention at the moment as the tdu is not his focus. Same goes for valverde. Most of the other Contenders will use this as a stepping stone for the classics. So Simon is the fit in form obvious pick.

Meyer to go back to back if he remembers to eat.

Who is the likely replacement for Bobridge if he doesnt pull up? Sulzberger?

I would like to see either Lulu or Valverde win. :)

I am also expecting to see GreenEdge come out swinging and putting up a real fight--- they will be stoked and want to show what they've got, so can't count them out.

I'm rooting for Lulu as well. He's Rabo's only all rounder now. Good for him that Rabo focuses on their climbers, so he's not under much pressure to deliver results.

It's a safe bet, he loves this race and has won it before.

Van Avermaet might show his worth as well. If he's willing to mix himself in the sprints he could get some boniseconds, and he's become very strong on the hills as well.

Have a feeling Ballan is their Guy

They might as well use all their cards. If GVA gets bonus seconds, Ballan can then attack whilst GVA sits pretty.

Heinrich Haussler because he can get time bonuses in the sprints, and then not lose too much time on Willunga. Also, he appears to be in good shape.
