It's your money, but I wouldn't. He won't be let into a break and I don't think he has the form right now to attack from the GC group.

And definatly not on the descent on wednesday

yes the descent is my worry on wednesday , and i agree nibali will be right up for this stage . so it looks like i will hold on till thursday up the Port de Balès . i just cant imagine him not having a go at a single stage over the whole tour . surely he will want to try and salvage something in this last week .

I think he'd rather soft pedal til the end of the Tour to help his brother at the Vuelta, ahhhh Call me nuts but I don't buy that Andy won't do the Vuelta too sick :-(

Frank was crying he went to the Tour with 55 days of race, more then anyone, add 21 from Tour plus Olympics and it's 77 days with absolute no form. Useless against Contador or Froome.

And about Andy I have doubts, if he goes to Vuelta is because he want to race some this 2012 but till first days of August he won't be fit, and two weeks to build a form...

Right you are my good man, that would be the norm under all above circustances, but all this not good form is just screaming the what ifes with them two.

Radioshack is a completely non-factor

Actually the could contribute to something from the other teams if both Froome Wiggins buckle. To the word choice of "complete" is mindless considering the team GC. Chances are Sky is too strong. RSNT are a riding fairly well. If Wiggins cracks, what will Froome do? In that case RSNT could factor in with the effort of other GC teams. The stages highlighted at the onset of this thread could see it happen. I, like most, think it unlikely. Your sense of sportmanship is null.

I hope Frank attacks a stage. With 5 riders still in top 20, I don't think there's much of a chance to lose the team competition if he goes on the attack and blows up.

TBH. there is a better chance that he will throw his bike and drop out of the tour, than actually doing anything there.

They're one of 8 of the 22 total teams with a rider in the top 12. And they have 3 riders in the top 12. BMC and Sky have 2 apiece. They have 5 in teh top 17, nobody else has more than 2.

They're not a non-factor, even if they don't have one single guy who can challenge for the GC. Any team with 5 riders in the top 17 out of (currently) 162 can't possibly be considered irrelevant.

5 guys in top17, just wow.
They will surely win the suddenly-important-to-Trek's team ranking.

He's probably the sixth or something best climber in the peloton, but it looks like he doesen't care about attacking or winning a stage...bah

Point is they have 5 different guys who each, if they have a good day, could have an impact on the GC, even if none of those guys will win the GC. I'm not saying any of those guys are going to podium, I'm just saying that when Zubeldia or Kloden has a good day and attacks and VDB catches their wheel and picks up a couple minutes on Wiggins, nobody will be saying they're a complete non-factor.

I'd love to see him join force with other contenders to drop Wiggins then Froome would follow and leave him alone, that would be so cool :D

We can close this thread since Frankie is finished for the next 2 years. Maybe the 2014 Tour of Spain.
