FSA Crank problem

I own a 6 year old FSA carbon crank that has recently developed a knock at the pedal/crank interface. The bike shop says that the aluminum bushing that the pedal screws into has separated from the CF crank. Has any one else had this problem with carbon cranks? Is there a cure or is it knew crank time?

This was a fairly common problem with FSA carbon cranks several years ago that they have since corrected. Unfortunately, there is no way to fix it, and if you keep riding it the pedal will separate from the crank arm. You should stop using it immediately (if you haven't already) and talk to your local shop about getting it replaced under warranty. I'm pretty sure the warranty on FSA parts is 2 years and your crank is much older than that, but it can't hurt to try.

I recommend replacement before you pull your pedal out while riding. Get shimano, Campagnolo, Fulcrum. FSA, sram(truvativ) are all pretty crappy in comparison.

Had the exact same problem two weeks ago. Got maybe 5000 miles out of the 450g FSA crankset, so wasn't a total loss. There's no cure as far as I know.
