I have not tested or ridden the Fuji SL1, but love riding my R3. I own two high-end road bikes (Lynskey titanium and Cervelo R3). The R3 is very comfortable and has an incredibly stiff bottom bracket - it feels as though every watt of power generated through the pedal stroke goes directly into the drive chain. But, bottom line, test ride both bikes and see which you prefer. You'll learn more by test riding than from opinions of other cyclists.
