Hi,

I'm looking at a new wheelset. I have a Cervelo soloist built up with centaur and campag Zondas (2005) from my old bike. I've started racing crits and I'm finding the front wheel becoming soft and flexing under sprints. I'm looking for an all rounder wheelset and I've come down to Fulcrum 3 or Campy Neutrons,
I weigh 80Kg. Any suggestions or comments ?

Thanks in advance
Rich

Go for the Neutrons, they are lighter and will spin up easier. The Fulcrum 3's are essentially the same as your Zonda's. At 80kg your weight will not be an issue.

If those are your only two choices, I'd go Campy Neutron.

Personally, If I were you, I'd go to a bike shop you trust and have a wheel set custom built for you. You'd end up with a wheel set that suits your particular needs, and likely would be cheaper to build with better parts. If you have decent wheel builder, it would be a much better build than a Fulcrum, or Campy, and you would be supporting your local bike shop too.

Campy Shamal but if you can't, get the neutrons. I still have original Nucleons and really good wheels. 1 broken spoke and never otherwise out of true.
Fulcrums are made by a Campy Owned company and have an equivalent Campy wheel but I don't know the comparison.
