No, it's about physiology and biomechanics, not population movement (or analysis of excrement).
So, indeed a quite useful thing to study as a professional athlete.

Okay, I have a question!
Who the *** is Dara Marks Marino, and why does she keep popping up in the "Popular today" ranking on PCS?
Dara Marks Marino
Dara Marks Marino is a road racing cyclist from United States, active between 2003 and 2006. Her best results are 3rd place in stage Tour of the Gila WE and 11th place in GC Redlands Bicycle Classic.www.procyclingstats.com
Did she feature in the E-World Championships recently?
She has the 17th most views in PCS today. She has been trending for nearly a week so she must be famous for something.
I highly suspect that at this point - probably already when I posted - it's because her name keeps popping up on the front page she gets so many views.
My theory is people are googling her name for non-cycling reasons. Maybe she won the lottery or dancing on ice or something like that. They click on the top google result which is her PCS profile. As she is from the US this drives up the numbers while Europeans are asleep. Then, like you said, people see her name on the first page and keep clicking it for curiosity.
I was thinking this count be the sad end for RGP, having a Bananito moment, but he looked quite good just now![]()
Hopefully just a matter of unfortunate lightning or something, otherwise Raul Garcia Pierna slowly seems to be returning to his former glory.

Riccardo Bobbo
Riccardo Bobbo (born 1999-05-10 in Mirano) is a former professional road racing cyclist from Italy, active between 2016 and 2021. His best results are winning a stage in Tour of Szeklerland and winning a stage in Tour de Serbie.www.procyclingstats.com
Just noticed Bobbo retired?… :-(
It appears she does not have a thread, even if she certainly would have deserved one:

Van Empel takes a break from racing
After years of competing at the highest level in cyclocross, Fem van Empel has decided to temporarily take a step back from racing.www.teamvismaleaseabike.com
I don't know if the cause is physical, mental, if it's about her team, her trainer, herself, but it's clear something is not working in her road career so far. Expectations are high, after Strade Bianche (first race of the season) there was already a column on a Dutch cycling website with the premise basically being "why does Fem van Empel suck so much on the road"? I can imagine that kind of stuff is not very motivating.Well she hasn't really earned herself one in the road forum yet.
Hopefully she'll come back stronger.

There aren't any talented male cyclists to write about...Yeah, nobody deserves that and especially not in a country where top class female cyclists aren't exactly a rarity.
Hopefully she is able to successfully work through this! I wish her the best!It appears she does not have a thread, even if she certainly would have deserved one:

In classics or stage races?I couldn't find a dedicated thread for Stefan Küng......
I don't follow races from km 1, and don't read a detailed recap afterwards, but does this guy try much to get away in breakaways? It feels like he really should be one of the most offensive riders in the peleton. Küng has a BIG engine, but doesn't pack much of a sprint or change of pace. That provides him a lot of decent results, but hardly any wins. He should really try in very many races to be in a breakaway.
