I dont know if im missing something but dont these teams realise that if cav is there at the end he will win most likely so like the world champs (though it failed) they should send guys up the road like Van summeren for Garmin etc in order to try and just make the race harder and they just allow sky to chase and tire themselves out and then wait for the sprint where they may be sprinting for second if theyre guy is in front (unlikely) or they will be sprinting against a weakened sky team with a cav who has slightly heavier legs.

Yeah i dont know why they arent trying something like that. It seems like they are just letting Cav take this.
