Cavendish World Champion.

Cangrats to Tomke for taking the victory, evidently moving back to Belgium from Monte Carlo is paying dividends.

Tour of Flanders and Roubaix are shaping up to be a Boonen-Cancellara showdown, although the Belgian won't have the benefit of drafting to then win the sprint.

If you really want it explained.

Referring to a rider famed for solo riding across breaks within a 'rhetorical question' based on a completely different rider is not clear and therefore defeats the whole point of a rhetorical question.

Thanks for defending my honour (and yours). ;)

Couldn't do more than to peak at the race now and then. Looked decent.

Well done Boonen. Exciting times ahead!

Oh well you can forget the result for about half of the front group with all of the dubious riding that occurred. Goss sat up and Pozzato looked angry. Bennati should be fined for excessive drafting behind the team cars. Boonen and Freire are looking great at the moment.

From the CN report:

In a somewhat messy sprint marred by a crash from a Saxo Bank rider who took down JJ Rojas (Movistar) and Greg Van Avermaet (BMC).

*facepalm* To be fair though, he did take down Greg but he did make sure Greg landed softly so he (Tosatto I think) isn't entirely evil.

Congrats to Boonen. Good to see him winning again.
Sagan was very strong today. The only one to share pulls with Canc. He was also the one that pulled the rest of the chasers back to Canc. Kudos.
Had he not done that work, he might have had something more in the legs for the sprint.
Flanders next weekend. Boonen and Canc both look very strong. Sagan and Breschel too. Looking forward to it.

Several posters actually wrote positve comments of Cav when he made his 'attack'. Did the jersey proud today? Ahh, that's to overexaggerating it just a bit.. Worse riders were in the front group. Cav will be disappointed not to be in that group.

300m in the wind and then mouths off to riders who all had team mates in the front group. What a champ!

Would have been a better finish IMO with Cav in the front group. They seemed to settle for a sprint with a fair way still to go. No way they would have done that with Cav in the group.

Don't agree. Thought we got a much better race because Cav was isolated and in no control what so ever.
