He didn't have a bad tour by either his own or anybody else's standards. But before the event, to a man, we'd have all predicted that he'd have won at least 2 stages. So it's disappointing, against those expectations.

I dont think Cancellara has had a great season actually. Beaten in everything he actually wanted ..... Maybe he will get the worlds, but that is the only thing that would salvage this season for him

No doubt he reads the forums with this thread giving him the necessary motivation to stroll away with San Sebastien :p

Considering some question marks over recovery it's interesting to see the latest win on the back of the Tour plus a number of (albeit limited effort/distance) crits. Wish I could recover that badly!
