Sorry, don't know if its been mentioned here, Basso is still undecided regarding his Giro participation. He told: "I don't want to ride the Giro the way like, I did the Tour last year without being well-prepared. I'll do final tests on Giro del Trentino and Tour de Romandie and decide whether I start the Giro or not". Sounds strange to me. Probably, he just wants to absolve himself from redundant mental pressure. I hope so. On the other hand, the rumors about possible Nibali's start could come into sight because of Ivan's uncertainty.
