yellow fluo didn't have doping problems, di luca and santambrogio had. what is the team to blame for? especially considering scinto refused to sign di luca until sponsor threatened at last minute to cancel all sponsoring and they couldn't go to the giro. after the giro debacle scinto againt stood up and dissed the sponsor who wanted to stay looking in italy for another sponsor he was in full risk of losing his job and many of his people.

Are you f... serious?
I hope you are not that naive to think the team wasn´t aware of their doping.
And in any case, if Scinto was so concerned about Di luca, why didnt he and his medical staff tested him upside down up to the giro, his blood values would tell in an instant that something was going on.

That didnt happen, and why wasnt Santambrogio done the same after an unreal spring, its professional people we here are talking about, they would know something was rotten, just like the rest of us suspected, but they had the opportunity to test him during his training, but why test for something you already know...

Its the teams responsible no matter which angle you try to look at it, as it should be, and that they get a wildcard after 2 positives in the same race a year ago is a joke and a wrong signal to send out.

lol. you think teams can test their own riders for doping and know it the same day? he was only entered into the team 1 week before the giro, so they had no idea about values or anything. of course scinto resented it that's why he managed to stop it for months until the sponsor right before the giro threatened to leave the team immediately. you have no idea what you are talking about. I know my stuff unlike you and not it's not naive. it's more hilarious to think you actually believe scinto lets his riders dope and then has the risk of not losing his riders in the giro but his actual job and with him that of countless others.

that would be great for team spirit wouldn't it? you guys have been really good so far this year!... give me your blood cause you are probably cheating...
teams can't function without trust between riders and management.

He also stated that he will help any Colombian, as they always help him, as long as it doesn't affect the team's goals. One of the best moments for me in the 2013 Giro was when Betancur flatted. Majka and team attacked at that point. Betancur stated later how ****ed he was that they attacked when he flatted.
When Betancur tried to come back, several members of team Colombia stayed behind (not Ag2r) and helped him latch on. Betancur eventually finished with Uran & Duarte ahead of Majka.
This year, there is 9 from Team Colombia, Uran, Quintana, I'm assuming Serpa & Anancona for Lampre (helping Horner?). Sarmiento will probably be there helping Basso. Who else? you mentioned 18. Arredondo? Acevedo?
Quintana is now the clear favorite. If Horner is confirmed, he is also another favorite next to Nairo. Porte will fight for the podium. Uran, Purito, Cadel will be fighting for top 5, IMO.

Arredondo said he wants to start in the Giro, and he's likely to do. He also wants to start in the Tour in service of the Schleck brothers, but you can call that out.

Anton and Amador will probably be there too, as they were already sort of confirmed to ride there. Gadret and Visconti might be going as well, just like Capecchi and Javier Moreno. That is already a great team, and if Szmyd can get his act together once again this will be the team to beat.

What about Gorka Izagirre? Or one of the Herrada's? They have got so many options:eek:

It will be interesting to see if Nairo gets his little brother to come as well. May be too early for him, but also Nairo has stated he really likes the way they ride together. Looking at all the charity races after the Tour, they both seem ready :)

given the pathetic performance by most of that team last year it's the least that they could have done not to be seen as complete failures

I think Movistar will test out how good Dayer actually is. Already riding a Giro in your first pro year..., well could be. But i think if Dayer is going to ride a GT, it will be the Vuelta.

Hopefully he will fix his visum-problems soon.

I for one am immensely put off by the inflamed nationalism most Colombian riders display, and I don't think that time when people from an entirely different team went out of their way to help Betancur was anything but a disgrace.

Yeah, good one. Horner and Porte are better than Purito:confused:.

Quintana and Purito are the two topfavorites. Porte is the dark horse, in terms of leading a team in a GT. Horner is a interesting outsider.

I always felt that the biggest mistakes they made so far are:

1) put all their eggs in one basket (The Giro)
2) Have all Colombians. (one italian last year, but that was the Manager's son).

I agree, that's why i said it could only be the Vuelta. I don't see it happen to.
