Arredondo said in an interview he knows Cancellara, Voigt and the Schleck's;)

Quintana is a clever guy, he knows he has a big chance to win the Giro.

of course what is he to say. I can give example of beltran who had an offer of geox and his manager said it's a great team it has sastre. and beltran had no clue who he was.

the giro isn't even broadcasted in colombia and never has. it's only tour and vuelta colombians know and care about

ESPN broadcasts the Giro in Colombia.

And most Colombians don't care about the Giro and Tour either.

I find it hard to believe that about 15 weeks out from the Giro a top contender still doesn't know their GT schedule.
Unless he is truly preparing for the Tour. Then it is OK.

Remember Contador. He was at the beach like a month away from the Giro start when he was called to ride it.

Back then I think it was easier to re-adjust one's program with short notice.

Nibali was peaking for 8th in the Tour or whatever it was!

Oh, not even close. Back in the good old days when Kreuziger was the superior talent :D

Cadel has stated that the Tour Down Under team will be close to the team that is going to the Giro. Excluding Rick Zabel, I think that the rest of the squad will be going to the Giro.

Cadel Evans (Aus)
Brent Bookwalter (USA)
Ben Hermans (Bel)
Amael Moinard (Fra)
Steve Morabito (Swi)
Rick Zabel (Ger)
Danilo Wyss (Swi)

What about Mattia Cattaneo? I saw he won the Baby Giro in 2011.

What kind of rider is he? Will he have the chance to step up at Lampre?

he won that baby giro but wasn't the best rider. anacona was way better but had lost time earlier. similar thing happened when sarmiento won baby giro

I asked Thomas Dekker yesterday what GT he would be riding and he said it would be the Giro, so he can be confirmed :)

Why? He's cheap, and he provides a lot of publicity in Holland, an important market for Garmin.

The media still seem to regard the guy as more talented than guys like Mollema or Gesink, which is an utter joke of course.

more like negative pubclitity and he pretty much lost all publicity with his horrible results. I don't think anyone in netherlands knows thomas dekker is still racing
