I have a feeling that it might be 2005 all over again, or that this Giro at least will be the best grand tour since the 2005 edition.
The route looks very hard, especially in the last week. Lots of beautiful climbs. The individual time trail seems to be a nice technical and ambitious one.
If the créme de la créme of the sprinters also is going to attempt, it will also provide some great challenge in the flat stages.
And looking and the overall contenders which are possibly very close to each other:
Quintana, Porte, Uran, Rodriguez, Evans, maybe Horner
+ old heroes like Basso, Cunego, Scarponi, Pellizotti
+ guys like Pozzovivo, Roche, Majka, Keldermann, Malacarne, Rabottini etc
Really looking forward to this one
