Why does TJ still come in paced? Him and Costa should go stage hunting but I'm betting they haven't given up on a top ten yet.

Costa was Emirate's 3rd rider I think. One of those who crashed still finished ahead of him.

Not to mention Nibali and Pinot.
We're robbed off of an absolute thriller.

Those times were in relation to Jungels while Quintana was on steepest sections.

Okay, Quintana seems to be the strongest, but that said the giro is anything but over. Dumoulin and Pinot lost a bit more than 20 seconds on one of the hardest climbs of the whole giro and will probably both gain a lot of time on around 70 ITT kilometers. The thing I was afraid of was Quintana winning one minute in front of Nibali and Landa and all good TT'ers over 2 minutes down.

I think Pinot's TT is overrated. I think he won't gain too much on Quintana in time trials.

That makes a lot more sense and is roughly compatible with the final time gaps

A lot could be said for pulling out in protest, something needs to be done at this stage, instead of getting better the motorcycle mayhem is getting worse and worse.

Yeah, that makes more sense than him making up time on Quintana. I was just worrying that he was drafting big time while off camera.

Quintana needs much, much more time than 30 secs on Dumoulin.

And Big Tom can even gain bonus seconds if it comes down to a reduced sprint. Same with Pinot.

Yep, that makes sense. GPS was never wrong per se.

At some point it was Quintana > 2:20 > Maglia Rosa > 2:09 > Thomas.

If it was calculated based on Nairo Thomas would be before the Pink Jersey group.
