Quite funny though, after his mediocre pull for Pogacar in San Remo, seeing this described as 'the greatest 2.1 climbing performance of all time'.
Though I doubt that's true, the conditions were excellent for this sort of W/KG effort. I remember an Alarcon one in some kind of furnace-level 50 degree heat where they had the local firemen dotted on the mountain hosing everyone down because it was too hot where he absolutely torched the field, it might've been Penhas da Saúde in 2018 but I can't find the video.
