So is Lutsenko now the favorite for the Tour? Is he even riding the Tour?

Quite funny though, after his mediocre pull for Pogacar in San Remo, seeing this described as 'the greatest 2.1 climbing performance of all time'.

Though I doubt that's true, the conditions were excellent for this sort of W/KG effort. I remember an Alarcon one in some kind of furnace-level 50 degree heat where they had the local firemen dotted on the mountain hosing everyone down because it was too hot where he absolutely torched the field, it might've been Penhas da Saúde in 2018 but I can't find the video.

The peloton is flying these last years and they are beating speed records day in day out.

Today's stage was very funny to watch it. The more interesting Prati di Tivo climb I remember.

It was engaging to see Lutsenko managing all the attacks of the UAE army and beaten them at the end of the stage. He is such a rough rider and he always has a succesfull part in each season.

Tomorrow stage will be worth to watch it. UAE should attack back and forth trying to let Lutsenko behind, but the Astana one is on fire and he is smart tactically. He knows how to move in such a dangerous situation.
