One thing this race has missed a bit is random top 10 riders trying to infiltrate breaks to move onto the podium, most just seem happy with their spots. The Tour will be full of them I think, the favourites superdoms Kuss, A Yates, Landa, Hindley with Gall, Bernal Carapaz and S Yates will be making early moves to try and put pressure on other teams.

If De Marchi wants a chance at winning he needs to attack early and hope he gets Valgren, Theuns and Van Dijke with him for example.

8 minutes now. I'd never have imagined we'd get the first PROPER breakaway stage at stage 19. that's crazy. the way the peloton have been chasing breakaways for the whoe Giro is mindblowing. whole Giro avg speed is 42 kmh for now

On German Eurosport Voigt and Aldag are talking about former arrivals at nordic ski facilities, and in particular the Friendensfahrt stage ending on the Harrachov ski jumping hill, with riders walking up there because it was the faster way to reach the finish.

Sounds like a good idea for next year! :D
