Thank you. Niemiec did a nice job for Scarponi there.

I'd be more inclined to watch out for him at Romandie, he always does well in his home races.
It is a microcosm of BMC's general problem... lots of people who can place well, but few who can make that jump up to the top step of the podium. Even their leaders; Evans has only thrown off his shackles in the last couple of years, while Hincapie is almost the poster boy for 'waiting for the race to develop', and thereby missing the key move.
BMC have all the foundations for a good team. They just seem a little toothless when Evans is out. Kind of like Movistar without Valverde, but the thing is, Evans being available for most of the year cancels out Movistar's superior support squad.

Well considering that Morabito attacked in the final kilometres to try and get 3rd therefore once he was caught he went out the back, it is a shame he lost his 4th overall. He was originally 1 second off 3rd. He also came off some back injuries from paris nice so I think this is quite a good result. I doubt he could of beaten Scarponi but the podium was attainable.
But yes, you are right. Most riders when they come to BMC seeem to go 'down' in quality. They never seem to get to their potential out at BMC.
Anyway, Scarponi looks dangerous for il Giro though I think the ttt will be more important than some realise.
