Basso actually went the wrong way at the foot of the climb. Must have destroyed his motivation in any case, and I'd bet his form is not all that at the moment.

Plus he's often awful in the lead-up races to GTs so as long as he's over his injury I'm sure we'll see him leading Liquigas at the giro. I do feel for szymd though.

I think it was pretty much all together at the base, but I'm not certain.

It really was a very good ride then by Pozzovivo and Smydz! just watched Cuengo go round the motorbike chicane!

I tuned into a live feed just in time to see the finish. Now I know the top three without knowing the action that got them there.
