Scarponi was one of the biggest disappointments for me

I know people will say he is saving himself for the Giro but a few days ago he said he wanted to win this race. Today it looked like he was supposed to be the main man for Lampre - Cunego dropped back at the start of the climb to see what was going on with him. He doesn't weigh much more than 60kg so he should have beeen able to get a good result

Looked to me that he was staying well and truely out of the red, which on a climb like this results in going very very slow (hence 12 minutes down). Whether he just didn't feel good or what, I wouldn't read too much into it. The Giro is still the big target.

Didn't see Brajkovic come in, he's actually alive and can climb reasonably again!

Looking forward to a good Dauphine and a crash in Le Tour week 1 ;-)

Just catching up with ES.

Next year, the Giro del Trentino will tackle the North face of the Eiger.:D
That drop, just before the top of the climb almost made me wet myself.

Pozzovivo got the climb right, so did SS.
Rujano and Kreuziger got it wrong.
Jose definitely went a bit too deep, too early and paid the price.
Ended up weaving across the track, until he found his rhythm.
Eurosport commentators didn't think he rode well.
Roman followed petit Pozzo a bit too closely, instead of riding his own race.
Cunego? Somewhere in between.

I bet the big roulers enjoyed that.

Can we do it again?:)

So will Pozzovivo have a chance to once more finish Top 10 in the Giro? Today he impressed me...

pozzovivo as always is in topshape too early. he then turns sick during the giro usually. he should simply ride less but for colnago is important he ride a lot. serpa and scarponi had the same problems. scarponi though and serpa semaingly, are peaking better this time

It's pretty simple for him :p:
1. Top 10 in Romandie
2. 5 weeks of hard work in Colorado
3. Abandoning Dauphine after stage 4 - TT
4. Winning Tour of Slovenia (the course was made for him)
5. Even his no.1 hater Ryo knows, he is going to podium on Le Tour haha :p

he probably has the wrong sportsdrink at bmc

Trying to compensate for Coldeportes extreme failures by comparing them pure climbers with some sucky 2nd pro year BMC rider who is 22 years old.
