One day race for climbers. Spectacular field this year as well.

PS: The finishing circuit climb was also used in the opening ITT in the Giro d'Italia this year, which Roglic won.

So Betancur moves to the domestique role. So sad when he's in his best shape probably since Vuelta 2017 when TJVG took him out

Movistar for Emilia:

Alejandro Valverde
Carlos Verona
Carlos Betancur
Richard Carapaz
Jaime Castrillo
Eduard Prades
Mikel Landa

That is some firepower right there.

Fuglsang to dominate the late autumn classics. He just looked too comfortable at Worlds and seems to have built back up nicely since the TDF

4 leaders and 3 workers. Not bad.
No, when it comes to one-day races Movistar have just one leader. Although with that team I would say they will go on the offensive already at first San Luca pass.

First battle between the current 3 Grand Tour winners?

Movistar have by far the strongest team. I'd be a shame if they race very conservatively. Landa for lap 1, Carapaz for lap 2 and Bala for lap 3.

Brutal line-up with Roglič, Fuglsang, Bernal, Nibali, Lopéz and Young Pog.

Surprised that Chaves is not on the start list. Or actually: are his points just too low to be listed in the top 25?

I'm on the Danish bandwagon; Fuglsang for the win.
