Emiia don't matter at all in the grand scheme of things. Its a perfect one day race for Primoz. Lombardia is different, and so is a GT
I don't get it, man. What has Rogla ever done to deserve such a dismissive attitude?

The guy has won every race he entered this season, except when prevented from doing so by his own team management. He's beaten all the other top riders, some repeatedly. He won today from a field of the best GC competition (do you really think the presence of say G Thomas would have made a difference? Have you got another candidate?)

Sure it's just Emilia but you'll not convince me, or many others on this thread, that none of the dozen in the finale wanted to win on an iconic finish and just gifted Rogla? That was a super strong and decisive victory.

I have no idea how he'll fare at Lombardia. It doesn't matter. He's already had one of the best seasons, if not the best season, of anyone in the pro peloton.

My 2 cents worth, UAE tried the GT tactic of a climbing train instead of a one day tactic of shooting men up the road. Of course it all depends on how the team feels, but in th end the parcours would probably have lead to the same sprint finish.

It's not possible, to be head and shoulders above, once on this level. Win some lose some. Mostly win. As all the mentioned riders, forming the top of the top, did.
