if the chasing group don't start working together, then is going to be Gilbert vs Scarponi

Now that the group behind has got their act together I don't think Gilbert or Scarponi winning is the most likely outcome...

Yeah, he's stronger on the climb and on the descent, so go figure.

Scarponi might match him on the climb, though its probably too short, but Gilbert will own him on the rest.

This it not a boring race, if you ask me.

Can't really remember any boring races this year. Apart from most of the Tour. Don't think the Dauphine was that great from what I remember.

Yeah, since the descent it's all fireworks. But it's definitely become even more of a descenders race than a climbers race.

If it's gilbert vs scarponi, I'll have to root for the italian, being a fan of the team of a thousand sponsors.

Wow 1 minute 8

Reminds me of Paris Roubaix. Everyone just sits up doesnt bother to chase.

What did Cav say again, If you race like amateurs you get results like amateurs.

euskaltel and caisse both with two men can afford to chase a bit, yet gap is increasing.

7.85km to go is the start of the ascent.

I think Scarponi will attack, he wont win a sprint against Gilbert

Ya, its unusual though as Caisse & Euskaltel have 2 riders in the second group. At least one from each team should be killing themselves for the others atm.

I love this forum. :)

Dont see why you lot take the **** out of TGBM so much. Hes actually quite good.

Just a running gag. I love the guy too and he's a big talent too. Just 23 and riding with the big guys in Lombardia says it all.
