hmmm, saxo are saving their legs. I am surprised that Lampre, katusha, astana or liquigas haven't put guys in the break. saxo can now rely on assitance from those teams to chase. Those teams shouldn't give up without a fight.

Those teams have already had their a$$e$ handed to them on 2 of 2 mountain stages, neither of which Saxo tried to take control of the stage. Frankly, I think they've conceded the fight.

If Crostis were still around I would be sitting down and starting to watch, getting ready for their approach.

Instead I'm watching rugby and reading a days worth of Clinic posts, will probably not watch until the 20km mark so boooooooooo to you teams/UCI. This sport is so twisted, how the teams and UCI can pull one behind RCS' back when they've been at each other for all season.

Sorry, had to get a whinge off my chest, I'll be nice now.

Contador will destroy everyone today. I think he will put close to 2 minutes into second place. Break will go free tomorrow. Contador will probably attack again on that final climb but someone from the break will take it.

I'm going to ask you to delete this post for "sporting" reasons. :p:D

GazettaTV has the wrong "Altimetria" profile...would they be able to change it in time?

Anyone who knows what AZ is saying on Gazzetta?

I'm not fluent in Italian, but this is what I think I heard :)p):

UCI are a bunch ****** ********. The Crostis is ****** and for them to come in at the last ****** minute and cancel it is just complete *********. **** you McQuaid. **** you **** you. Did I say **** you? I meant **** you twice in your eye. Die ******* die.

But seriously, I'm cool. It's whatever. McQuaid just better watch his back...

Not very nice things about UCI commissaires and team directors. Cancelling the Crostis 12 hours before the race after all the effort put to deploy safety networks is a lack of respect for the race.

I more feel sorry for Hitch who spent so much time into writing a fantastic preview to this stage. It's one of the best I've ever rwad.

Zomegnan has been backstabbed. The teams said the Crostis was OK a few days ago, but they pulled this at the absolute last minute so that not even a plan B could be implemented. This isn't about safety, it's about not wanting things to be too hard.

Cowardly imo. (at least that's what google tells me ;)).

Yeah. I'm waiting to see some banners in the Zoncolan with messages about the Crostis cancellation. Zomegnan's words had some sort of veiled message to fans in that sense.

Great, I was so pumped up about today that my partner also decided to clear the entire day, so we could sit down for the day-long spectacle together.

If it had been just the Zoncolan from the moment they announced the stage, it would have been great in its own right. But having had months to anticipate a Spring fling with the Zoncolan-with-benefits, now they have removed the cherry on the cake, I feel robbed.

It looks like the DSs managed to deflate my Zoncolan... they are starting to challenge the UCI in my least favourite part of cycling list.
