Bertie is here to win the Giro. There is no point in him killing himself just to go with Landa, who is too far behind to seriously challenge for pink. Bertie has bigger fish to fry.

Stevie K needs to be third now....

Exactly

Whats with the comments on Conatdor beeing so. so? Fair enough he could not follow Landa, he still leads with 4 minutes in the GC. It bodes very well for the Tour..

Not when Contador faces the possibility of losing more than a minute in this stage.

Gap not increasing so quick anymore. So far Landa's best efforts have been pretty short.

Landa going for Blue jersey as well?

For him to win it he needs to top this climb first and then win the stage and hope that Kruijswijk doesn't finish third on this climb.

Let's also acknowledge the immense strength of Kangert again today. Great domestique.

Kangert... a beast. He was already when being next to Nibali in his Giro win.

Definitely. But probably even stronger at the moment. I know he placed better in the GC back then, though.

If Landa wasn´t hold back by the idiots in the car (for at least 3 mountain stages), he certainly could have had a chance to win this Giro. In a normal business Martinelli would be FIRED!

Looks like Astana was allowed to continue on condition they won't try to win a GT - the all they did makes sense, just to show how strong they are.

It's difficult to compare with riders that aren't in the Giro (Froome, Quintana) but Landa is definitely going very well. It remains to be seen how better (or worse) will Alberto be in the Giro.
