Nicolas Portal, Team Sky DS: "Froome's rivals are Dumoulin, Pinot and Pozzovivo. We'll see if Simon Yates can keep this level in the 3rd week." (Via Gazzetta dello Sport)

Froome also gave a pretty snarky pre-race interview saying he was surprised the race leader would try to chase him yesterday and he would possibly pay for it today. Doesn't take much success to make them act like ****s again.

Three Bahrain in the break. Hopefully Pozzo received the jiffy bag containing Nibali's spare pair of balls.

Take your pick from these:

1. Pissed off with Stybar nicking points from Modolo.
2. Hugh Carthy fancies his chances
3. Woods fancies his chances.

None of them really make much sense

Benett was off his bike for 50 seconds due to a mechanical yesterday, so lets say he lost 55 seconds he wouldve finished 7th behind Pinot yesterday.

Nasty place for a mechanical. Gesink repaired the bike before the mechanics were there.

Gesink even finished 27th himself. Would have called that bad a couple of years ago but now I think it's pretty decent for him

No hard feelings toward Gesink, but I hope he has an average wage these days.
He used to be a big earner, but he doesnt deserve that anymore onbiously.

Pretty ferocious start to the day, the first 100 have been done in less than 2 and a half hours, despite 1500m of climbing. Should be a difficult finish.

I think he still earns around 800.000 because LottoNL signed some long term contracts with him
