What a disappointing stage so far from the main contenders. I expected the attacks to start on this climb.
I would usually agree but after MS's super slow pace at the beginning of the climb I'm actually happy that the peloton got at least a little reduced

It's like the Italians want to humiliate their own rider in front of the world. Weird.
I dont think theres any humiliation.
Anybody whos been on a bike knows how it feels.
At the very least, massive respect for Aru whos dieing a thousand deaths with every pedal stroke and still soldiering on.

Dumoulin is probably having a bad day today.
Why would he ask Oomen to push?
Maybe wants to make it a harder day. Rather than just soft pedalling to the last climb, where a fresher Yates could gain 30 seconds with a 2km attack.

This. It's all too easy for Yates if the opposition don't make it hard enough.

Is Formolo really riding for a top 15 GC in true Bora fashion?
In fairness Formolo has a very good chance to win the stage if it all stays together. Sunweb might be working for that too maybe

Very tricky descent. It's a shame that the riders in the positions where a ballsy attack could pay off - Pinot, Froome, Lopez, Pozzovivo - are all terrible bike handlers.

Lopez nearly falling in the descent again

edit: The eurosport commentators are APALLING. Claiming Hamilton is there with Dumoulin when it's clearly Oomen
