It's a completely different effort compared to a road stage. For instance Brandle has been in the red for 35% of his time trial thus far (Velon info). It's much harder to recovery from such an effort. Brandle will obviously have the privilege of taking it easy tomorrow, the GC guys won't.My question was honest, no irony intended. At this level I think it's a fair question.
Btw, Nibali said the same thing. Can a 34km TT be so hard on the legs? I mean, this guys usually ride hundreds per day.
My money is on no.Brändle, Dowsett and Campenaerts all very close at the first intermediate.
Brändle with the first meaningful time at the finish: 45'23".
Will Ganna go under 44'?
OK maybe Dennis will though. My money is on no.
Can I take my money back?OK maybe Dennis will though.
51 seconds faster than Brändle at first check!
Didn't early starters have much better conditions and later riders had to face some quite some heavy rain, also? I always remembered that Alberto was smashing that TT and likely would have won if it wasn't for the change in conditions.Didn't they have a significant tailwind in the end then? Like Contador had like 20th time at first intermediate then finished 17s down in the end?
What happened to Morton? Slower than Molano at the first 2 timechecks.
Guy can't catch a breakCiccone out of the Giro. Bronchitis.
Nah but when he catches a break he gets dropped from it.Guy can't catch a break
