Pozzovivo was in the red for 18% of the time, while for example Sagan was in the red for only 9% of the time. Quite an effort for the little climber in the echelons.

Bora lost their workhorse for the flat, Gamper, today. I doubt they will chase seriously from far out.

Today was probably the best chance for a stage win for many riders. I'm astonished that neither a stronger breakaway got away nor a higher pace was imposed for some riders to try a mid-stage attack that could well succeed on a stage like today.
