Why did Healey chase the guy with no points and then concede to the one with lots of points. That's the question that needs answering here.

If he didn't chase then he's second on the top maximum, if he chases he has a chance of being first. And it's a big difference (9 to 4 points).

I'm rooting for Healy in general, but I a very low opinion of KOM competitions so all he did, in my eyes, was weaken his overall chance for a stage win today.

I'm a bit pessimist about the gaps on Monte Bodone. Apparently this ascent is quite forgiving, yes some steep parts but lots of easier spot for recovery.

Is that an Italian alliance of the small teams?
For that to happen Healy would have needed to rub multiple Italian PCT teams the wrong way. Otherwise the rivalry between them would be too big for that to happen. I guess if someone was friends with the rider on the other Italian team/a former teammate it would be possible, but otherwise things like that don't happen.

What I dont understand currently is, yes theyre controlling the break, yes the gap is quite small but somehow both the break and the peloton look to be on a sunday stroll
