If he didn't chase then he's second on the top maximum, if he chases he has a chance of being first. And it's a big difference (9 to 4 points).

As much as I want Healy to collect points the Bardiani riders have every right to fight for their points and I would rather have a fight about it instead of riders just giving them to someone because they don't care.

I'm a bit pessimist about the gaps on Monte Bodone. Apparently this ascent is quite forgiving, yes some steep parts but lots of easier spot for recovery.

For that to happen Healy would have needed to rub multiple Italian PCT teams the wrong way. Otherwise the rivalry between them would be too big for that to happen. I guess if someone was friends with the rider on the other Italian team/a former teammate it would be possible, but otherwise things like that don't happen.
