Congrats to Steinhauser on a great win! So he succeeded this time, strong performance. The peleton was not willing to chase until last few km.

Ineos did work on the last climb...to set up Martinez attack, lol. G. and his attacking style! It all ended up with a brainless attack by maglia rosa. Why, Teddy, why?
The others went to slow and he was cold.

Steinhausers dad said, that Steinhauser rode stage 15 without powermeter etc., because he wanted to ride on feeling. Interesting.

Him winning the stage and having an easy day are not exclusive, so why not ride on the front earlier and then do the same?
Because he wasn’t trying to win the stage. He was just riding within himself, then no need to follow stop and start racing (albeit unlikely with this crew).

Absolute joke of a ride from Thomas, hugely disrespectful to Arensman. If I were Arensman I'd be fuming and doing everything I can to leave Ineos. What an awful team.
Thomas is just an awful team leader. I watched the documentary on the 2022 Tour where it was quite obvious what he thought about letting riders such as Pidcock try for stages despite clearly being two levels under the mutants.

And now they are giving up the white jersey! For what?!

G. Thomas is not doing himself any favours here. Hugely uinspiring rider.

Processo alla Tappa, Garzelli is saying he's training for the Tour, rides at threshold and the others die. That's how superior he is. He'd probably be more tierd actually preparing for the Tour.

Congratulations to Georg Steinhauser for winning his first stage.

UAE and Pogi doing everything in their power to not win a stage today and they barely made it. Ineos in my opinion lost second place yesterday and leadership crisis likely won't settle down after today. Bora horrendous, bar Dani that looks like is having a GT of his life, enjoining it. DSM likely wanted to make race hard and focused on other opponents. Nobody really seems to care any more what Pogi does as they are racing a different race and are focusing on that instead.

It was to secure third place 🤓 by dropping a rider who, in all honesty, sucks.

Garzelli doesn't have access to the numbers, obviously, but I'd agree with that statement. Probably rode threshold for about 3 minutes today on his "attack" on the steep section. Arensman pace was zone 3 max

Absolutely ridicolous

Bufalo Thomas might be a decent guy off the bike, but for him it's all about being the team leader.

Also, the meme-chase by DSM might have costed Pellizzari the climbers jersey in the end. With today's points (before the final climb) and the first passage on Monte Grappa he could have secured it...

I could understand if Thomas wanted to try something, but its literally just "well we don't know how to race any differently than just pull mindlessly, it used to work when we had the strongest rider". But he proceeds to not even try? Not even a dig for the cameras? Laughable, G. Thomas!

But has he ever ridden differently?
Sure he has, it's just that for most of that time he was building his season around winning E3 and then trying not to fall over too many times between then and the finish of RVV. And he did make a couple of attacks during his Tour win. They seem like distant memories now because he's basically tried to Leipheimer his way around for the six years since, he'd be invisible in the group if he wasn't big enough to eat most of the other GC contenders in one sitting and his trademark being wearing some of the most distinctive ugly sunglasses since Cipo decided to go for the "insect after dropping acid" look.

Maybe Thomas is a bad leader, today, still yesterday he had a bad team. Protecting second place in GC is higher then trying to secure white jersey. Today was hence likely more about disciplining. Now if it will work or will relations deteriorate till the end of the race? We'll see.

Funny how people thought it will be an exciting race behind Pogacar.
Imagine the fun battle between DFM, Thomas and O'Connor.

It was a 2km murito, though, I don't see what Arensman could have offered other than an extra five seconds or so.

In fairness, his talent has hit it's limit. He doesn't do anything more, because he can't. But trying in the old Sky mountain train is his last hat truck. But against Pogacar it's self-defeating. They thought they had the formula, but it's no longer special.

Can't defend *** on 12%. Arensman was right to ride his own race, and he should ride his own race from here on an out including today if these mindless chickens in the Ineos car had any clue.
