Roglic loves a negative split but he's also taking corners like my grandmother so probably a mix of both as why he is so bad at the first intermediate.

I don't like rain in TTs because of this. Roglic could win today. Contador was robbed in the Giro 2015 too.

Many things could be considered bad luck in cycling, but weather turning bad like this in a TT truly is bad luck.

I think it's more psychological. He's taking the curves with fear, and they were dry

It's raining less in some parts already (it looks super local), but obviously still wet roads. Might be a little bit better for the UAE guys compared to Roglic now.

I guess at least all the main GC contenders are going to have similar conditions, so it sucks for the stage win but for GC it’s at least somewhat fair for everyone.

For GC riders, the stage win is irrelevant the main goal is to take time off of each other.

Looked like Roglic was being overly cautious but I think this will affect all the GC guys. Those roads are really slick it seems, so most will not risk it today. It's almost better Roglic crashed in recon othewise I can imagine him wrecking in the race and losing it all. Err on the side of caution.
