This would actually work really well as a stage 20 i feel like, as a stage 11 however itll be yet another pipedream thinking this could be entertaining from 100k's out

The only scenario I see for a good GC action is Vine, Arrieta or Majka go to the break and Yates tries to bridge.

Ok, I gotta choose my words carefully here..

I'm quite sceptical about how routes get so thouroughly trashed by a lot of people here so often. I'm not saying there aren't times I agree. But that's mostly about there being a better route to climb up a particular mountain.

My 20-ish years of watching this have made me learn that the route, in the end is just a canvas (horrible clichés are just that for a reason, sorry).
It's the combination of the field of riders, the way they ride it, and just pure luck and happenstance shuffling the GC that decide if a GT was great or not.
I know its fun to pick apart a course and how it could be better, but really, the route overall isn't such an enormous factor as some people make it out to be.

Does anyone in the area have any snow cannons? And if so, would they mind using them on the descent of San Pellegrino? Just something to mean they have to shorten the route and turn it into a summit finish

The sort of stage Bora iwould be happy to avoid with the leaders jersey. Good chance for the break but UAE will be wary of which riders will be involved. Storer would have got his opportunity previously so would have Carapaz.

I struggle to really see it happen, but it Gazzetta there's some speculation about a Tiberi attack today. He did a recon of the stage, and before the Giro apparently said that this is the day he wants to take the maglia rosa.

Bilbao in the break, Caruso and Tiberi downhill attack to bridge, Tiberi solo from the bottom of last climb.

yes, something like that, I guess. But it would need a super strong day from guys like Zambanini and Eulalio to first drop the UAE doms on the climb.

Stage actually reminds me a bit of that Vuelta stage where Majka won with an ungodly long solo break. Final climb makes me think some riders will at least try to attack.

I would also like to see a GC rider attack, But I don‘t think it makes much tactical sense since UAE should be very much capable of strangling the race. But maybe making McNulty and Yates work could be smart for the riders fighting for those places on GC.

If there's a stage I wouldn't mind to be shortened, that's this one.
Put the finish line in Toano because of some protests, or anything like that, and I will be a very happy man.

That said, is it too late to gatther the CN forum together and block the road after Toano?
