Brian Holm complaining that there is a moto behind the break as it give an unfair advantage to the bunch when the break is filmed from the front is just incredible.
He generally complains even when both groups are treated the same, as if the peloton never has a moto in front.

Yeah but they missed that opportunity. If they get caught this is a sprint. Anyways, if you let that that break go you simply don't have a result.
I'm not so sure anymore, feels like a surprising number of teams have this one pegged as a potential breakaway day.

This group has no hope, though.

Nope... sprinters stage. Most riders in that big break were there on accident at first. And teams reacting was just cause they couldn't miss this. You could see from the beginning not that many teams were actually interested.

5 man break it is. Such a shame that they couldn't keep the tempo up for an additional 5 km with the big group, they nearly had the chasers surrender.

There are enough interested teams to get a at least somewhat credible group up the road. So naturally the five up front aren't even thinking about staying close enough to the peloton for anyone to bridge.

This Giro d'Italia could have been cut down to 10-12 stages like the Tour de Suisse used to be. The rest of the race is fully redundant!

Interviewed at the finish by RAI, Matej Mohoric has stated that Del Toro is the only rider who has ever beaten Tadej Pogacar in training.
He should have mentioned that before I picked my fantasy team.

For all the grief forum goers give the commentators of these races, I think the Hatch/McEwen/Blythe/whoosits combo is pretty good at filling the air with banter, without talking over each other or making too many factual blunders. Hatch the Aqua Man of the North made me lol

Lots of teams working for Mad Mads

They must think the final climb (x2) is hard enough to distance the best sprinters.

Or - since he did a 225m uphill sprint yesterday, he'll just do a 450m flat sprint today :tongueclosed:
