well, it all depends on how you see it. We haven't had an Italian winner in one year, since Vendrame took a solo victory in his home stage.

And tomorrow he'll just do the same. On a Sunday. Maybe even with his nonna cheering at the finish. What a beautiful story.

I was about to say that this is the worst 3rd weekend of the Giro I've ever seen, but 2017 exists.

2004 and especially 2009 were both way worse than 2017. And this year is clearly worse too.

Maybe he'll win the stage and gift his glasses to Pellizzari. It seems to be as tricky for BORA to win stages as it is for Bardiani.

I did not see the 2004 Giro. I have some memories of the 2009 one, and mainly the TTs but I always assumed Petrano was on sunday, and apparently I was wrong

Im sure even the most patriotic, mads perderson obsessed danes (if you can imagine such a thing) would be sad to see Landa, hindlet, CICCONE abondon in the manner that they have (not to mention soren krahg). And then you have the gc at this point being 90% decided by crashed and punctures. Danish people surely dont like that.

Unfortunately with Vegni in charge, Bocca di Forca won't happen, I think it's too narrow for his liking.
Even Bocca di Forca with a finish up Monte Grappa would work IMO.

They go out of their way to make the weekend when people have time to watch as boring as possible, well done. Now only the weather can save this stage or neutralize it, both which would be ok for me.

When people say this stage is "too easy" but I remember that the last time I climbed Monte Grappa, I nearly lost bowel control it hurt so bad.

Good opportunity for a Guillaume Martin style GC move. Hopefully at least one out Poole, Piganzolli, Harper or Rubio gets into the breakaway.
Pipe dream would be another attack from Ineos. Maybe Bahrain.

Ineos blew the race up on a cat 4 on stage 13 a couple of days, so where there's a will, there's a way.

I suspect that one or two GC riders will collapse today. Tiberi is the most obvious pick for that. Conci will win the stage.
