Both Kooij and Groves looked like rockets in the last 100m, but both lost because of poor positioning (Groves by far the worst).
KooiJ lost his leadout a little early (cause he had been at the front for the entire last km with Van Aert missing) and got boxed on the narrower finish.

Doubt it‘s practical for teams like Visma with their helmets
How is it less practical than the Lazer helmets on (B)DSM?

It was a strong leadout so that part could be consistent. Groves and Kooij still favs in other sprints.

I didn't notice the meter signs, but I get the impression he did a fairly long sprint - like 250+

I think both Kooij and Groves would have passed him if they had been in his wheel.

I genuinly do not understand how Picnic does it every time. This guy has been nowhere for 10 months straight. In Turkey he got passed by 5 conti sprinters every bunch sprint and now he wins a 250m long sprint in the Giro.

Anyways, typical PicNic, also why I think Cofidis has no chance against them. They just have more talent.

Just had a glance at the GC.

It's actually pretty crazy, that in the top 30 there is only 1 rider you would not classify as either a GC rider or a competent climber - and he is leading.

In fairness - probably a lot dropped time on purpose the last 2 stages - but still.
