As fans do we want a break?
It is more fun watching breaks trying to form and than when one gets away.
I just tuned in and am a bit bewildered - is there a break or isn't there, if there is one it seems to last only a few minutes... something just formed but who knows for how long.

Nice, sunny weather and gorgeous scenery though, just like yesterday!

This should be it. So many teams represented. Bardiani and Polti missed it but can they bring it back even it they want?

EF with 2, situation reminds me a big of that Carapaz/Yates move in the Vuelta but GC a bit too close I think.

Riders should be cooked on the next climb if a team starts to pace but it is more likely the race will settle

Surprised Alpecin did not try to keep it together for Groves for the sprint, with both Pedersen and Kooij dropped... but I guess we have our break now :)

All the wrong teams in that break for them, lol

Good for them that Bardet made the jump but Cofidis 2 (and I think one chasing) and Astana 2 still bad. I do think it's good for PicNic that Bardet lost time yesterday. It wouldn't have been beneficial for them if the only guy who could make it into those breaks and have a chance at doing good bu just be riding for a 10th place the whole Giro.

Tbf Poole has also proven himself as a point-getter in these breakaways. One of him and Bardet for GC and one for the attack seems like their ideal split.

Yes but that what I mean. It's fine to have one going for GC and Poole was looking good in Alps already (and he's a youngster I get he wants his chance), but two while you have a Giro where a lot of breaks have a chance would be stupid.

3 Cofidis riders. not something I expected.

This Giro is going to hurt badly for Intermarché btw. They have looked safe since their massive points gain in Paris Roubaix but I don't see them getting a lot of points anymore this month. Thijssen is looking bad in sprints and for harder stages they only have Meintjes basically.

Ulissi is highest in GC, +4'01".

I completely overlooked Fortunato, as I just checked PCS lol. +2'57".
