yeah like, it was fine. i enjoy the boring stages too. but the potential was way higher than what we got imo. people lose their minds over the "fight for the breakaway" which i just find very unremarkable unless someone dangerous on GC is trying things.

What? Would you prefer 8 sprint stages like we had at the Tour last year?

Today was really good. Bit of a shame Plapp win was kind of never in doubt as soon as he took off, but other than that it was good.

I also like it when stages like these have a short climb for the GC guys to have a crack at the end, maybe that could be closer to the finish but then tomorrow is Strade redux.

not what i said at all (also the Tour had a really good opening weekend and a mountain stage on stage 4 last year)
