Should we have two polls for the rider who was the biggest positive and negative performance this giro?

Positives for me:

1. Del Toro
Breakthrough performance as a GC rider at the age of 21 (just 4 months older than when Pogacar had his breakthrough performance at the Vuelta) - and he did it for much of the race without proper back up from the team because he was not the designated captain.

2. Simon Yates
I don't think any of us - really - thought he could beat that UAE team, or Roglic, or Carapaz to pink in Rome.
But he just kept chugging on, like the little engine that could, many a time dropped from the front - and then dropped the hammer on the queen stage to take it.

3. Pedersen
4 stage wins, constantly in the mix for numerous others, and worked his behind off for his team mates as a dom on every day he had no chance to win - not a single stage without Pedersen doing something of note.

The negatives will always be the contenders who crashed out IMO
